Broad-base terraces to control soil erosion from rain are design to conduct water safely out of the fields, to a natural drainage. This type of terrace, is different from the one built in the 1950’s in the United States. They are smooth and wide so any type of machinery can cross them after they are established. Water is captured by the terrace, and conducted to natural waterways throughout a controlled slope within the terrace.
Cover crops and tillage practices are recommended for soil erosion control.
Crop rotation types are analyzed to maximize profits and also take care of soil erosion
